Inspiration/Meaning:
Pearls have long been beloved across many cultures with different meanings and stories attached to them. Symbolically they have been seen in Egyptian, Japanese and Chinese myths as well as various  religious beliefs such as Christians believing they were the tears of Eve. They can represent wealth and high societal status. Most notably, pearls have come to be known as symbols of protection and wisdom and, more specifically the white ones, purity and perfection.
